Reasons Why We Do not Lose Weight
Often doctors hear from people trying to lose weight hear the following complaint: “I am always dieting all the time, but I can not lose any weight.” For most people trying to lose weight they give up because it is not easy to lose weight as easy as it is to gain weight. No matter how hard these dieters try losing weight, nothing changes. Why?
Well, there are several reasons why people do not lose weight. They are:
1. Many of our social interactions include food.
2. Restaurants portions have increased.
3. We are not as active than in the past.
4. We are always snacking, even if we are not hungry.
5. We misunderstand how weight is maintained.
It is important to remember that when we consume fewer calories, we have a tendency to be less active, which probably stems from our biological programming to preserve body weight for survival.
One must remember that you must burn off more calories than you take in to lose weight. A healthy diet that is balanced with small quantities of vegetables, fruit, grains and lean meat or fish is the goal to lose weight. Exercise helps, but you will have to cut calories, too. Remember, it is fine to be hungry when losing weight. Just set a goal to be achieved. When that goal has been reached, you must maintain it everyday. If you do not maintain the goal that you have achieved, the weight will go right back on.
That is why I suggest using Lean Optimizer to help maintain your achieved goal to lose weight.
Yes, you can exercise to lose weight, but most people trying to lose weight do not realize how much exercise is needed to lose weight without cutting calories. In addition, exercise does increase appetites. If you want to maintain your weight loss, you must avoid eating any more than was consumed before the diet. If you can burn off an additional 500 calories everyday, the dieter can lose a pound a week. If you can walk one mile a day or five miles on a bike daily, you will burn 100 calories. In addition to eating a healthy diet, you can lose a pound a week. Of course, you can also cut 250 calories per day and do two and a half miles to accomplish the same thing.
Everyone can lose weight if they set their mind to do it. Everyone can reach a normal, healthy weight and maintain it. Just remember, you must accept the fact that we cannot eat all we want, whenever we want.
